During March, SEB Estonia received several marketing awards. At the Golden Egg gala on 19 March, SEB received no less than five awards and in the competition “Marketing Act of the Year” on 9 March, SEB won the Marketing Act of the Year 2009 Grand Prix for the project “SEB – the biggest supporter of sport in Estonia!”

The finalists of the Marketing Act of the Year competition were judged on three criteria; creative strategy, media strategy and results. The jury from Marketing Act of the Year commented SEB’s work: “We were pleasantly surprised by how detailed and serious SEB’s use of sports sponsorship as a means of communication is”.
At the Golden Egg gala SEB received a Bronze Egg for the outdoor advertising associated with the extension of SEB’s contract with the Estonia National Opera, in which the main building was swathed in red curtains. This also rendered SEB a Golden Egg for the best design in event marketing.
The SEB Plans advertisements were awarded two prizes: a Silver Egg for the radio commercial and a Bronze Egg for the television commercial. The fifth award was a Silver Egg for event marketing internal communication, with “SEB Battle of the Choirs”.
Karl Multer, head of Marketing and Communication at SEB Estonia, thinks that these awards represent significant recognition of the SEB marketing team and all of the bank’s employees.
“Through sponsorship we have boosted the proportion of those who consider SEB their home bank, generated positive media coverage and highlighted some of our products and services,” he says.
