In Lithuania, SEB has started an information campaign to invite customers, who face financial difficulties, to come and talk to the bank. This is done to find a solution in order for people to be able to maintain their homes during difficult times.

“We understand that a home is not just four walls. Times are tough and your household may be facing financial difficulties. Your mortgage payment may be a challenge. Talk to us and let's find a solution together”. This is the message in adverts in the press.
"We want to help preserve the only dwelling of families - their homes. Consequently, we hope that clients who are having or may have difficulties in repaying mortgage for their single house, but do not dare to come to the bank and delay in looking for solution will contact us", says Raimondas Kvedaras, Head of SEB Lithuania.
The solution can vary depending on the individual customer’s situation. During a free consultation at the bank SEB can, based on the customer’s financial situation, give recommendations on how to manage personal finances or how to put financial priorities. SEB can also offer a variety of favorable loan conditions changes, for example, to postpone principal repayment of housing loan, or even part of interest payment, to extend the repayment period or other solutions.
Bank customers can also visit the site www.seb.lt, and a special section “Living with a mortgage”. Here customers can calculate and compare their costs with the statistical average and use a budget planning tool. SEB’s household economist Julita Varanauskienė regularly provides tips on how to manage the family budget with a mortgage.
During the first three months of this year SEB Lithuania has changed mortgage conditions for 330 customers who have temporary faced financial difficulties in repaying their dwelling loan.
