SEB offers its Estonian retail customers free training regarding various e-services in cooperation with the Ole Kaasas project, an initiative sponsored by several local companies and organisations as well as a European Union development fund.

SEB clients who want to learn how to use services such as digital signatures, Mobile ID and ID Card can get a 15 minute crash course led by instructors from the Ole Kaasas project in the bank’s branch offices.

– People’s ability to use e-services is important for SEB. In recent years we have been active in educating both our employees as well as our clients. Free-of-charge training in a bank office is an excellent possibility to develop one’s knowledge and skills, says Riho Unt, head of Retail Banking in Estonia.

Instructors from the project will travel around the country and visit different branch offices until 7 February.

The Ole Kaasas project is an internet-involvement project launched by Vaata Maailma (state-sponsored internet-usage promotion foundation), telecommunications operators EMT and Elion, and IT-services company Microlink.

The free Ole Kaasas training courses teaches people how to use a computer, internet, ID card and Mobile ID and various e-services. Those who pass the course are offered a discounted computer and internet connection by EMT and Elion. The Ole Kaasas project has trained more than 39,000 people since May 2009.

The European Union’s European Regional Development Fund contributes almost 15.5 million Estonian kroons (one million euro) to financing the training projects.
