SEB Germany has received a certificate for its family-friendly personnel policy. Representatives for the government gave the quality stamp, which is valid for three years, to Renate Bloß-Barkowski (center of picture), head of HR in an official ceremony on 11 June.

About 300 enterprises and institutions from throughout Germany received certificates during the ceremony, including numerous financial service providers.

“I am proud that SEB has received the certificate for the second time in a row,” says Renate Bloß-Barkowski. “Our goal is to receive the award again in three years. I think that the numerous representatives from business and politics illustrate that this future-oriented issue has great support from society as a whole.”

In their speeches, Kristina Schröder (above picture, to the right), Family Minister and Peter Hintze (above picture, to the left), Parliamentary State Secretary emphasized that a family-friendly workplace is profitable for enterprises as well. Employees who are supported by their companies return from parental leave sooner, are absent from work less often and work more productively. A sustainable, innovative economy is not possible in the long run without family-friendly working conditions.
