Adidas new client as cross-sales bear fruit

For three years Jonas Forslund has held a dialogue with German sporting-good giant Adidas about providing health insurance for the company's Swedish employees. Thanks to good cross-border cooperation there is now an agreement in Denmark and another deal in Sweden underway.

When Adidas became interested in a life insurance solution for its Danish employees, Jonas Forslund, life insurance salesman at a branch office outside of Stockholm, tipped his colleagues at SEB’s Swedish Life unit. They in turn contacted their colleagues in Denmark and that's how Adidas' Danish employees now have health insurance with SEB Pension.

“It's about picking up the right signals and then contacting the right people,” says Forslund. ”Hopefully we have an agreement in place soon for Adidas' Swedish employees."

Danico Pension has been managing Adidas' Danish employees' company pension plans for years, but the new cooperation now opens up possibilities in that area too.

“We are happy about the agreement and naturally hope that this is the first step towards Adidas choosing us even for their employees' pension scheme," says René Jensen, Account Manager at SEB Pension in Denmark.

Along the way, René Jensen has received good support from Johan Wennerberg, Global Business Manager, SEB Germany.

“This cooperation between Sweden, Denmark and Germany has allowed us to deliver the best offer to the customer,” says Jensen. “In this way SEB was able to make a very professional impression.”
