Annika Falkengren claimed spot seven in Financial Times’ latest ranking of the world’s most powerful women in business. She ranked in the same spot when American business magazine Fortune did a similar ranking recently.

Indra Nooyi from India heads U.S.-based Pepsico and ranks number one on Financial Times’ list. The only two other Swedish women on the list are Antonia Ax:son Johnson as number 13 and Cristina Stenbeck as number 34.

Financial Times, in a comment to the ranking, notes that the share of women holding top positions remains low – only three per cent of the world’s largest companies (Fortune 500) have women at the helm.
